HDSSG’s young adults have sweet success!

Post 16 fundraiserOur young adults and their parents served up coffee and cakes at the United Reformed Church in Moldgreen this weekend.

Parents from our group supplied the cakes whilst our members including Joanne & Zoe (pictured left) brewed the coffee, sold the cakes and washed up afterwards!

The event was aimed at raising awareness of how we are helping our young adults who have left college prepare for work.

We are hoping to set up a social enterprise that will provide our members with the skills and experience needed for employment, whilst also forging links with our community. The hope is to open a charity shop in the Moldgreen  area of Huddersfield  and  the money raised on the day will be a great boost to this initiative.

Well done to all our young adults and parents for their hard work!
